the beauty of stick figure fighting is just that, its not about character design or in depth story. for all the people that watch movies only for the action this is a thanksgiving dinner. and for everyone else its a awesome sandwich with extra kickass. its could of had more story or maybe special techniques, (that would be savage as fuck) but stick fighting is nothing but badass hardcore ko'ing and brawling.
plus avatar was also savage as fuck, awesome character art and detail, good story and great battle and action scenes.
not to bash your opinion, just giving the other side of the coin.
